Start your tour with a beautiful drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal, a small village located about 15-20 Km northeast of Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will start the trekking to Chisapani located at an altitude of 2165 meters, which would take approximately five hours of time. The best time to trek the Chisapani Nagarkot Trek is during the autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) seasons.
Autumn sees dry weather with crystal clear skies, which ultimately allows views of the Himalayas such as Everest, Langtang, and Manaslu. Moderate temperatures are found during the daytime while cooler nights make trekking favorable. During the spring, the forests along the trekways are alive with brilliant rhododendron flowers, adding color to an already beautiful landscape. The temperature remains warm during the daytime and cooler during nights but not freezing, hence ideal for trekking.
