Overview

A Bhutan 4-night, 5-day tour offers a compact yet immersive experience of this serene Himalayan kingdom. The trip usually starts at Paro, which has the sole international airport in Bhutan. Here, you will see the well-known Paro Taktsang (Tiger's Nest Monastery), which is built on a cliff and provides stunning views of the surroundings.

In order to provide guests with a better understanding of Bhutan's rich cultural heritage, the trip continues with a visit to Paro's other historic sites, including the National Museum and the Rinpung Dzong, which dates back to the 17th century.

A five-night, six-day tour of Bhutan offers a thrilling chance to discover the natural and cultural diversity of Thunder Dragon. In addition to taking in the breathtaking Himalayan scenery, visitors will learn about the spiritual and mystical aspects of Buddhist societies.

The magnificent architecture, century-old monasteries and fortifications, and immaculate way of life are guaranteed to leave a lasting impression. We will engage in a variety of thrilling activities and sightseeing in the stunning cities of Thimpu, Paro, Phunaka, and Wangdue during our trip.

In addition to staying in luxurious accommodations, you can also elect to stay in a farm home that offers a normal Buddhist lifestyle. It's also a good idea to sample some of the local food from Bhutan.

Best Season to Visit Bhutan

Most people agree that spring, from March to May, or fall, from September to November, are the ideal times to visit Bhutan. The weather is usually nice and dry throughout these months, and the scenery, which is always breathtaking, is at its most magnificent.

It should come as no surprise that the busiest tourist destinations in Bhutan, like Taktsang Goemba, Punakha Dzong, and Tashichho Dzong, may get busy in autumn and spring. However, even in those seasons, long lines are not an issue because of severe controls on the number of visas available.

    Good to Know

Accommodation during the 6-day Tour of Bhutan

Accommodations on a 4-day trip to Bhutan usually include cozy 3- or 4-star hotels or guesthouses that combine modern conveniences with traditional Bhutanese architecture. What to anticipate is as follows:

Paro: Lodging options in Paro are situated in picturesque surroundings and frequently provide views of the neighboring valleys and mountains. The hotels often include roomy accommodations, classic design, and contemporary conveniences like room service, Wi-Fi, and hot water.

Thimphu: Hotels in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, are well-appointed with features including restaurants that serve both foreign and Bhutanese food, cozy lounges, and spas for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. Traditional Bhutanese hot stone baths are among the cultural experiences offered by some lodgings.

Punakha: Several hotels are located in picturesque settings, providing breathtaking views of the historic Punakha Dzong and the verdant valleys. Some lodgings even include restaurants on the premises that serve delectable regional fare, enabling guests to thoroughly enjoy Bhutanese cuisine.

    Meals during the Bhutan Trip

Meals on a 6-day trip to Bhutan are usually included in the package and include a combination of continental, Indian, and Bhutanese cuisine. What to anticipate is as follows:

Breakfast is typically offered at your accommodation and consists of a variety of continental foods such as bread, eggs, cereals, and fresh fruit, in addition to traditional Bhutanese specialties like butter tea (Suja) and karaang (ground maize).

Lunch and dinner, which often consist of well-known Bhutanese specialties like Ema Datshi (chili and cheese), Phaksha Paa (pork with red chilies), and red rice, are frequently eaten at neighborhood eateries or the hotel. To suit a variety of palates, there are also plenty of Indian and continental selections.

    Visa Requirement for Bhutan

To enter Bhutan, visitors (except from those from Bangladesh, India, and the Maldives) need to get a visa, which can only be obtained from an authorized Bhutanese travel operator.

The visa procedure requires full payment for the travel package, which includes a USD 40 visa fee. Clearance is granted when payment has been confirmed.

A visa clearance letter, which is necessary to enter Bhutan, is then provided. The authentic visa is stamped into your passport upon your arrival at Paro International Airport. This process ensures that visitors visiting Bhutan go on guided excursions.
