Nepal Village Tour – Explore the rich Cultural Wonders of Nepal

Nepal Village Tour takes you to the beautiful Gurung village of Ghalegaun. You will explore the rich ethnic culture of the Gurung community. In addition to the rich ethnic legacy, Gurung people are also famous for being the brave Gurkha soldiers. Many young boys from this community join Gurkha and are famous for their bravery. This tour will give you a wonderful idea of the simplicity of Nepalese life and culture. Rural areas in Nepal are rich in cultural diversity that can be so inspiring at the same time. Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu
You will be met by a representative of Approved Holidays at the airport who will transfer you to your hotel. After checking in and freshening up a tour briefing is held in the hotel lobby where we will go through the tour in more detail and answer any questions you may have. The rest of the day is free, one of our guides will show you around. In the evening hotel there will be an evening welcome meal at a traditional Nepalese restaurant. Overnight hotel

Day 02: Drive to Besishahar from Kathmandu
After breakfast we drive through the hills and valleys from Kathmandu to Besisahar which takes about seven hours. We stay overnight at a lodge in Besisahar. Overnight lodge

Day 03: Hike to Ghale Gaun
After breakfast we begin our hike to Ghale Gaun early in the morning stopping on the way at Kapurgaun for refreshments. On arrival at Ghale Gaun we are welcomed by the villagers with garlands and light snacks (sisnu, local sel roti & organic Tea)The village itself totally unspoiled and it mainly consists of Gurung people, with around 105 households. The village setting is spectacular; it provides tremendous views across the Annapurna and the Manaslu Mountain peaks along with the green hills and valleys below. Overnight local house

Day 04: Visit the village
We start our day early in the morning with a warm cup of tea and breakfast along with a fantastic sunrise view. A local guide will accompany us for a hike through the surrounding hills and tiny tea gardens before we reach the beautiful and ornate village of Bhujung where we take our lunch. The houses in Bhujung are laid out in beautiful traditional patterns, a major attraction of Bhujung. We hike back to Ghale Gaun in the afternoon to enjoy a cultural program performed by the local villagers in the evening. Overnight local house

Day 05: Back to Besishahar
After a farewell program early in the morning we hike down to Khudi for around 3 hours. From Khudi we take a thirty minute bus ride to Beshishar. Overnight lodge

Day 06: Drive back to Kathmandu
After breakfast we drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel in the evening there is a farewell meal. Overnight hotel

Day 07: Departure
You will be transferred to the airport for your onward departure by our company representative or alternatively if you are staying on in Nepal we can handle your onward arrangements.
